FAQsOther things you might want to know
How do you work?
I like to be as unobtrusive as possible, working to on capture the spontaneous moments that best reveal the joy and emotion of your day. That said, sometimes a photo needs just a few seconds organisation to be just right – but never at a time when it would interrupt the flow of events. It’s your day – so if you have any ‘must-have’ photo ideas, just let me know and I’ll do what it takes to get them.
Many couples also like to take 20-30 minutes away from the rest of the party to get some photos of just the two of them – I always aim to make these as relaxed as possible.
For weddings I use available light as much as possible, which helps faithfully recreate the atmosphere of your wedding and minimises the distracting use of flash.
As any photographer will tell you, processing and editing the photos is an important in creating memorable images and is actually where most of our time is spent. Some photographers hire someone to do this for them, but I carry out all this work myself, making sure every single image looks its best before you see it.
How many pictures can we expect?
This varies from wedding to wedding, but from a full day I aim to provide around 500 individually edited photos. I’ll also provide black and white versions of selected shots which I feel really suit that style.
How will we get the pictures, and how can we use them?
The basic package includes all your images on USB or DVD for you to print personal copies from and to use online.
It can be helpful to have your photographer supervise the printing process so he or she can make sure the prints perfectly recreate the image they had in mind – please let me know if this is something you would like me to do.
How long does it take to get our pictures?
I aim to get your photos to you within one month of your wedding.
What areas do you cover?
Most of my work is inside London but I’m delighted to travel further afield. Prices include my travel inside the M25 – beyond that and any extra expenses will be added to the final total. But don’t worry – I’m not a fussy traveler! I promise to seek out the most cost-effective option to keep your costs as low as possible.
What’s a pre-wedding photoshoot, and why might we want one?
This is an opportunity to get used to being in front of the camera, get to know each other a little better, and come away with some beautiful photos of the two of you separate from the bustle of the wedding itself. I can come and meet you at a place which is special to the two of you or suggest a location myself – the choice is yours. Prices start from £250, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and talk through any ideas you might have.
If you have any other questions I haven’t covered, I’d be more than happy to answer them for you. Details of how to get hold of me are on the contact page.
